Thank you for sharing this. 💜 Sometimes I wonder what your analysis would be of the ways in which What Manner of Man compares to some of its other sources of inspiration - I can't even begin to guess what you'd have to say about stuff like The Wicker Man (1973 version), The Hill of Dreams by Arthur Machen, the ghost stories of E. F. Benson, etc.
I'm not as familiar with those, but maybe I'll check them out just to look for the What Manner of Man influence. It's funny how despite the big overlap of Dracula I tend to not be familiar with the other things you draw on/ are into. I consider this a good thing, expands my world.
