I did worry the post was too short, but I also didn't want to extend past the point of having something to say, and I felt like there wasn't much more to say.
In general I wish more people were into actually reading translations of ancient works instead of just going for summaries and retellings based on summaries (also guilty of this at times), and doing so from a more diverse range of cultures. Like when it comes to making The Canon more diverse works like the Popol Vuh and Mahabharata should be in the conversation and people should just read them on their own times.
